WWW TO WATCH: The Hip Hop World Stars

My week is usual a pretty consistent merry-go-round. Sunday is a giant hangover. Monday through Wednesday I maintain a low profile while recouping from another debauched and unnecessarily dangerous weekend filled with exploits not for the faint of heart. My favorite night is Thursday bro night, where every man leaves behind his boo to talk about sports and sexual encounters and eat everything deemed unhealthy. It also consists of the standard guzzling of spirits and betting on everything besides dick size, which I would probably lose anyway. After the dreadful Friday morning wake-up, maintaining my composure enough not to fuck up at the office, my thoughts generate around ordering food and watching a movie.

Last Friday, we enjoyed watching a watered down version of the beginning of the financial crisis. MARGIN CALL is a great and much underrated movie. Last night, we decided to watch SHAME and while the artistic directing was very thought provoking, the screenwriting needed some more impact and the plot rolled a little slow. After an hour of watching the depressing vice of sexual necessity, I decided to kill some time by going on a website that my roommate Landy uses as a form of mental masturbation. World Star Hip Hop.

World star Hip Hop is taking the online world by storm. As a proven method of business success, especially in the Internet world, they took an already existing concept and specialized it to appeal to a specific niche. People connected on MySpace before Facebook. There were Facebook updates before twitter updates became all the rage.  And along those lines World Hip Star has taken YouTube's paradigm and catered it to an urban audience. P-Diddy recently used the site to promote his drink, aspiring rappers use it as a way to build their name, and established kings of hip pop use it as a platform to continue to market themselves through rap videos and release announcements. But in my opinion, that's not what I feel is its bread and butter. The homemade videos of people of all backgrounds, races, and genders wilding out through robbing, fist fighting, and making asses of themselves cannot be rivaled. Imagine CKY with the craziness of their actions but also with Rake Yohn having a full-on fist fight with Bam Margera.

There is an endless supply of videos, forums, and comments from individuals who for better or worse may have limited scholastic educations but string out a hilarious amount of shit talking. If you need time and enjoy watching an epic battle from the safety of your couch or bed, I highly recommend this site. If you like to watch humans in their most base form, watch his shit.

If it’s not your thing, then, well, just go fuck yourself.
