Lock-Street Week 6 10.14

To my loyal Lock-street fans, I want to write a preemptive apology for my lack of stats for this week's write-up. I have been traveling all week for work, which means full-days and even longer nights. This combination equals no free time. Science at work.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs (u 40)

So last week, the Chiefs played their best football game of the year against a good Baltimore Ravens team who played their worst game of the season and they still LOST. Brady Quinn is making his first start in almost three years and while he looked somewhat decent last week, he will never be good enough to be a legitimate starter. They have Jamaal Charles, but Tampa Bay's biggest weakness is their secondary, not their run defense. On the other side of the ball, the Buccs have a rookie RB in Doug Martin, their back-up RB is the infamous Legarette Blount. They also have an under achieving QB, and their offensive line is confused and abused. With Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams as their receivers, you would think they can put up numbers, but Freeman just might not be the answer. At least they have an offensive lineman with the name Trueblood. Keep an eye out on a barn burner and know that a documentary on grass growing would be more enjoyable to watch.

New England Patriots (-3.5) vs. Seattle Seahawks

This is like solving the age old question of if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a noise? Well actually, this is dumbass question, because everything we know about mechanics, physics, and collisions, it makes a noise; you are just not there to hear it. Anyway, this game will prove what wins championships, the best offense or the best defense. Ok so the Seahawks have arguably the best defense in the game, but the Patriots offensive is hotter than Kate Middleton’s topless pictures and will surely win that match-up. With Wes Welker back on board and them finally using Gronk more, it seems like Tom Brady and crew will come out firing.  Seattle’s offense is pretty offensive besides Marshawn Lynch. I still have faith in Russell Wilson, but this is not his year. Watch out for the Seahawks next year as I guarantee they make it to the playoffs.

Green bay Packers (+3.5) vs. the Houston Texans

UpsetCity.com. You should log on. The Texans are a great team, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just a matter of time before Green Bay ignites. They did lose to mediocrity known as the Indianapolis Colts, but Indie was playing with a heavy heart and a lot of emotion for their ill Coach. Also, Reggie Wayne had the best game of his career, catching every erratic ball thrown to him by a not quite there Andrew Luck.  Also, the Texan’s best linebacker, Brian Cushman, is out, which means more blockers on JJ Watts, turning him to a nonentity. The Texans have not beaten anyone with a winning record and while the Packers are in fact 2-3, they might be the best 2-3 team in NFL history. Watch as the Packers win.
