Yes that is a beautiful 5'6" Brazilian woman surfing big waves naked. Yes, that is the closest you'll ever get to mermaids. And thanks to ESPN the magazine and their brilliant body issue (eat that shit, SI swimsuit)(and by the way, anybody else think that on the cover Gronk looks like Ronnie from JERSEY SHORE), this gorgeous image - as well as this sick flick of her charging it naked - we've combined two of my favorite sinuous things - a naked female athletic body and epic surf.
Just to give her some credit, she's the Billabong XXL winner 5 times, acknowledged as the best female big wave surfer on the planet. But just - there's something so beautiful, some amazing flow going behind this you wouldn't get if, say, you saw chicks hitting volleyballs naked (all those muscles flexing, like Seinfeld pointed out) and certainly nobody would wanna see naked women's softball. Maybe tennis but again - again, it's kinda creepy to see all those little muscles flexed while surfing, everything's smooth, cool, balance as if not much more important that cold hard muscle. But this - surfing in the nude - this is just gorgeous. And literally the definition of titillating.
ESPN, thank you.
And Maya Gabeira, the world owes you a debt of gratitude.
And now you all owe me one as well. Enjoy.
